A youthful state of mind is what I’m in. I am holding on to the best parts of being young while enjoying all the experiences that have taught me well at this age. It has nothing do with how many years of age one has, it has to with dreaming big and never outgrowing the curiosity to ask questions and to wonder and be amazed by the world around us. Dreaming big includes trying new things when dressing up. I have never been drawn to lot’s of florals or chiffon but this dress changed all of that! I can’t really explain it. Maybe I am softening in my sixties, in more ways than one, but that’s a different story for a different day! I just really loved the drape and flow, the colors and how pretty I felt when I put it on.
We all want our voice in our style and for me that means NO RULES! We all communicate by our choices in what we wear. Some days we can be soft and pretty and other days fierce or chic or even sexy. The choice is ours to make. As the years go by, my confidence in trying new things has never been bolder! I am embracing that confidence and hope you will try something new too. Whether off the shoulder, new colors, textures or lengths I encourage you to go out and be the incredible woman you are. Enough of being too serious or worried about how other’s will perceive us, do wear what makes you feel good. Trust me, that is what makes people notice YOU!
