Create, Motivate, Inspire
I am so excited to begin a new year full of possibilities to create, motivate and inspire. Part of my journey to do my best is to keep a planner. Do you keep a planner? My usual go to planner was a cheap black planner with the year on the cover and each month in daily squares. Efficient yes, inspiring and motivating, not at all. However, I always love to go back and look at my day to day life over the years. It is almost like a diary, reminding me of many forgotten memories. But this year I am getting the ultimate upgrade in planners. My new Erin Condren planner is so much better and inspires me to create in color and is motivating me to live boldly and to dream of all that can be. In other words, to get out of my own darn way!
I hope by now you have heard of and are familiar with Erin Condren and her amazing journey that is making all of her dreams come true! That was motivation enough for me to check her out and oh my friends what a story she has to tell. From starting in her garage in California to opening her amazing store in Austin what a true pioneer in the world of planning she is. Helping and inspiring people to dream BIG and make those dreams reality is what made her dreams come true and she is helping all of us to do the same. What a remarkable person.
This year I am thrilled to be part of the EC squad for Erin Condren. I will be showing y’all how I dream, plan and use my custom planner to make my aspirations come true! If you have a chance to visit Austin, don’t miss Erin’s beautiful store in the Domain shopping center. It is “like build a bear” for planners. Pick any cover, customize it and have FUN with all the colors of the rainbow. I personally was beyond wowed by my experience there! My cover is a favorite photo with the tag line “More Love”.
Recently, I was invited to Erin’s flagship store in Austin for a celebration of bloggers from across Texas. We all love planning and need it to do our jobs. What a fun day! The best was meeting Erin! What a spirit, she was leaving in an hour to catch a plane to India for meetings and then off to China. I did tell you what a go getter she is! But before she left, she spoke to us all and spoiled us rotten. It was so special and so sweet! Cotton candy, candy from Maggie Louise, drinks, cupcakes from Sprinkles and all the planning tools a girl could dream of! To meet other bloggers I have followed and admired was the icing on the cake!

Fall essentials for your wardrobe
Are you ready to add fall essentials to your wardrobe? Every year the push to rush the season’s gets more intense. For crying out loud, Hobby Lobby had not only Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations out at the end of July, but CHRISTMAS too!!!!! I DON”T LIKE IT!!!!! Who’s with me? I feel the years are passing too fast as it is! (I know my years are showing here like a crabby old lady! LOL) Here in South Texas, we will be lucky to feel fall in October! But you can’t fight the feeling of british dragon supplements being in the mood for fall. So you know the saying, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! The only solution for me is to find pieces that are light enough to make it work without becoming a puddle in this heat. This coat/kimono was a yes for me. The pattern is so striking but it’s also very light weight! And get this, it is only $34.99!!!! Yep, that is NOT a typo! This is easy dressing at it’s best. It does run very large so keep that in mind, I am usually a medium/large but in this gem I took a small and it’s still very roomy! I added pop’s of gold jewels and bright blue accessories to finish off the look.

Kendra Scott & Flower Vault
Kendra Scott hosted a fun and beautiful blogger event at Flower Vault here in San Antonio! Kendra’s team provided gifts, a photographer named Jonathan Ivy (who made us all feel beautiful!) a donut bar and mimosas! We all had the best time. One of the highlights was meeting so many beautiful women who are blogging here in San Antonio. Whether you are blogging about life over 50 (Hello!), being a Latina beauty, a fashionista, being a Moma and all that comes with it, if you are a makeup artist or just loving your life and sharing it with the world, there is so much to learn from each other. The entire Kendra Team made us feel so special. First we were able to choose an earring and a ring from the new collection, and when it was over we received a bag with MORE goodies. Youthful State of Mind
A youthful state of mind is what I’m in. I am holding on to the best parts of being young while enjoying all the experiences that have taught me well at this age. It has nothing do with how many years of age one has, it has to with dreaming big and never outgrowing the curiosity to ask questions and to wonder and be amazed by the world around us. Dreaming big includes trying new things when dressing up. I have never been drawn to lot’s of florals or chiffon but this dress changed all of that! I can’t really explain it. Maybe I am softening in my sixties, in more ways than one, but that’s a different story for a different day! I just really loved the drape and flow, the colors and how pretty I felt when I put it on.
We all want our voice in our style and for me that means NO RULES! We all communicate by our choices in what we wear. Some days we can be soft and pretty and other days fierce or chic or even sexy. The choice is ours to make. As the years go by, my confidence in trying new things has never been bolder! I am embracing that confidence and hope you will try something new too. Whether off the shoulder, new colors, textures or lengths I encourage you to go out and be the incredible woman you are. Enough of being too serious or worried about how other’s will perceive us, do wear what makes you feel good. Trust me, that is what makes people notice YOU!

The Pink Power Suit
Pink to make the boys wink! LOL! Oh how I love the pink power suit! As I was scrolling online for something that would stand the test of time and would serve my spring and summer style well, I came across this beautiful pink suit! Immediately I thought “This is it!”! I wasn’t sure if the color online would meet my high expectations but when it arrived I was smitten as a kitten! The color and the cut are perfect for me. Nothing too tight, the drape flowed across my not so favorite places and it made me feel happy! I always say when a girl sashays or twirls in front of the mirror, she is happy and should get whatever it is she is wearing!
I will be breaking the suit up and using it in lots of different ways so for me that is the power of the pink pant suit. These pieces have given my wardrobe an instant update. You are never too old to wear pink! Have you tried this color lately? If not, try it, I think you just might find yourself smiling and twirling in front of a mirror. Sadly this exact suit sold out in a day but I have found some gorgeous options for those asking!

My Favorite Statement Jewels
If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE Julie Vos jewelry. It is my favorite statement jewelry. Hands down, the quality is amazing. I have all my pieces from years ago and they have never tarnished nor have I ever lost a stone. Mother’s Day Beauty Gifts
